Please join us for our August event, Techniques for Curriculum Analysis!

Every structured learning experience has some kind of curriculum or list of topics that will be covered, including any training event.  Supposedly, instructional systems design techniques will lead to a curriculum design.  We’ll discuss techniques for analyzing a training curriculum design once drafted.  It builds on a CODE analysis but incorporates job analysis and other principles to decide what features of a curriculum should be maintained, expanded or dropped.

This presentation will help you

1. State the procedure for completing a construct validity analysis of a training program.

2.  Identify the elements used for a CODE analysis of a training curriculum.

3.  Identify several methods for carrying out a formative evaluation of a training program.

HOW DO YOU GET THERE?

The main entrance to the Towson University campus is on Towsontown Boulevard; from Towsontown Boulevard turn onto University Avenue (the University Avenue entrance has two gate-like fixtures bookending the entrance). About 100 yds ahead is the huge new Liberal Arts bldg on your right. The Towsontown Parking Garage is directly across from the Liberal Arts Building.
Parking will be provided and available at the Towsontown Garage. A grad student will be there at the lower/ground entrance to hand attendees a parking pass. Attendees should park in the Towsontown Garage on the ground level first level (going up the first ramp or parking on the same level as the entrance to the Liberal Arts bldg. Attendees can park in any visitor space. [If you miss the grad student, get a parking pass at a pay station].
Enter the east entrance of the Liberal Arts Building (closest to the intersection of Towsontown Blvd and University Avenue. Go through the foyer and through the double doors (actually four glass doors). Cross the hallway, and immediately to the left is Room 1201-01. See you there.
